Marilyn was a small business (retail store) manager for 17 years before she became a CPA. The primary focus of her practice is small and medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

She has a Bachelor's degree to teach mathematics from the University of Nebraska and also has a Master's In Advertising Management from the University of Denver.

Her courses for CPA certification were taken at Metropolitan State College. Marilyn has served as a member of numerous civic, non-profit and advisory boards.

She has been using QuickBooks and helping people just like you since 1997.

Marilyn works with Intuit in developing training materials for QuickBooks Point of Sale. These training materials are used by QuickBooks ProAdvisors to learn QuickBooks POS products.

Anyone can call himself/herself an accountant. But in order to be a CPA in Colorado, one must meet requirements set by the State Board of Accountancy.

The requirements include a college degree, passing the rigorous CPA exam (only about 6% pass all 4 parts of the exam the first time) and taking required continuing education to keep the license current.
